A Bad News About Covid19

   코로나19가 온 세계를 송두리째 흔들고 있다. 석학들은 이제 완전히 새로운 세상이 올 것이라고 입에 개거품을 물고 소리를 치고 있고, 유명 투자전문도둑넘가들은 엄청난 대공항황이 닥칠 것이라고 떠들어대고 있다.

 

 

   돌연변이가 생길 확률이 매우 높은 RNA형이고, 인수공통 (사람과 짐승 모두를 숙주-희생의 제물-로 삼을 수 있는) 바이러스다. 어렵게 개발된 백신과 치료제의 효능이 제한적이 될 수도 있다. 그리고 박쥐와 인간 사이의 2차 숙주가 아직 정확하게 확인되어 있지 않다. 심지어는 일부 때려죽일 놈의 정체불명의 조직들이 코로나19 바이러스를 탄생시켰고, 고의적으로 확산시켰다는 의혹을 받고 있기도 하다.

 

   미국의 젊은 세대들은 코로나19를 "부머 리무버 (Boomer Remover)"라고 부른다. 세계 곳곳에서는 여전히 젊은이들이 마스크 등의 개인 보호 (이면서 동시에 타인 보호) 장비를 사용하는 것에 대해 냉소적 적극적이지 않다. 부머는 베이비붐 세대, 즉 1946년에서 대략 1964년 사이에 태어난 사람들을 일컫는 단어다. 현재 70 대 중반에서 50대 후반에 이르는 한물 간 연령대의 사람들이다. 2차 대전 이후, 이전에 맛보지 못했던 평화와 안정 그리고 번영 속에서 배부르고 등따신 사이에 번식 활동을 왕성하게 수행한 결과로 인구가 급격히 늘어났다. 역사상 가장 안정적으로 경제 생활을 했던 세대이다. 그들이 주축이 되어 경제 활동을 하던 시기는 지구 역사상 가장 급속한 발전과 개발이 휘몰아치던 시기였다. 경제력이 가장 쭉쭉빵빵한 좋은 세대이다.

 

   65세 이상의 인구를 노땅 노령 인구라고 한다. 한국통계청의 자료를 보면, 2000년 기준, OECD 주요 12개국 중, 노령인구 비율이 높은 나라는 이탈리아. 스웨덴, 일본, 스페인, 독일, 프랑스, 영국, 노르웨이, 미국, 호주, 폴란드, 한국 순이었다. 2050년 순위는 스페인, 일본, 이탈리아, 한국, 독일, 폴란드, 프랑스, 호주, 영국 등등의 순위로 예상된다.

 

   2020년 5월 8일, 사망자 수 기준 순위는 미국, 영국, 이탈리아, 스페인, 프랑스, 브라질, 벨기에, 독일, 이란, 네덜란드, 중국, 캐나다 순이다. 노령 인구 부양을 위한 사회적 비용은 우리의 상상을 초월한다. 아무도 수면 위로 꺼내서 쟁점화 시키고 싶어하지 않는 존까 주제다. 연금 문제와 함께 거의 모든 나라의 가장 어려운 숙제다. 그래서인지, 현재 일부 국가의 코로나10에 대한 대처 행태를 보면 고의로 퍼뜨리기 위해 애쓰는 것이 아닐까 하는 의심이 들 정도로 멍청해 덜떨어져 초라해 미진해 보인다.

 

   노땅들 노령 인구에게 있어서 미래는 결코 밝지 않다. 그렇지 않아도 대다수 노령 인구들의 활동 영역이 넓지는 않았는데 지금은 거의 감금 생활 수준이다. 감염되면 치명률이 매우 높고, 치료가 되도 후유증이 남을 확률이 매우 높다. 살만한 노령 인구들도 어렵겠지만 독거 노인 등 경제적 자립도가 낮은 계층에게 닥칠 위협은 가히 살인적일 것이다.

 

   구글의 미래학자인 레이 커즈와일에 따르면, 영생복락 면류관 학시리 바껜네을 가능케 하는 신체 부위별 갈아끼우기 또는 신체 및 의식 조작 기술은 2045년 경 가능할 것으로 보인다. 그 때 되면 몇 살일지 그리고 손에 얼마 정도의 돈이 있을지 계산해 봐야 할까 꼭? 보면서 미래를 계획해 봐야 할까 꼭? 보자.

   이런 개가 풀 뜯어 먹는 말을 남기고 떠난 스티브 잡숴스. 나는 그 말에 전적으로 동의하지는 않는다. 다만 편안한 몸과 마음으로 죽을 수 있는 것이, 소중한 행복 가운데 하나인 시대가 올 수도 있으리라는 막연하지만 뭔가 느낌이 오는 그런 생각을 해본다.

   Covid-19 is shaking the whole world. Scholars are now enthusiastically voicing that a whole new world would come, while renowned investment experts are clamoring for a huge Great Depression.

 

   It is an RNA-type virus that has a very high chance of mutations and can use both humans and animals as a host. Hard-won vaccines and treatments can be limited in effectiveness. And the secondary host between bats and humans is not yet correctly identified. It is suspected that unidentified people created the Covid-19 and deliberately spread it.

 

   The younger generation in the United States calls the Covid-19 "Boomer remover". Globally, young people are still not active in using personal protection equipment such as masks. Boomer is a word referring to the baby boom generation, or people born between 1946 and 1964. They are now from the middle of their 70s to the late 50s. After World War II, the population grew rapidly amid peace, stability and prosperity that had never been tasted before. It is a generation that has had the most stable economic life in history. Their economic activity was the most rapid progress and development in the history of the earth. It is the most economically powerful generation.

 

   A population over 65 is called an old-age population. According to data from the Korea National Statistical Office, Italy has a high proportion of the elderly population among the 12 major OECD countries as of 2000. It was followed by Sweden, Japan, Spain, Germany, France, Britain, Norway, the United States, Australia, Poland and South Korea. The 2050 ranking is expected to be in Spain, Japan, Italy, South Korea, Germany, Poland, France, Australia and Britain.

 

   On May 8, 2020, the ranking based on the death toll was in the order of the United States, Britain, Italy, Spain, France, Brazil, Belgium, Germany, Iran, the Netherlands, China and Canada. The social cost of boosting the aging population is beyond our imagination. It is a topic that no one wants to bring to the surface and make an issue. Along with the pension issue, it is the toughest assignment in almost every country. Given the current behavior of some countries to deal with the virus, it seems so stupid that some people suspect they are trying to spread it on purpose.

 

   Many older people did not have a wide range of activities, but now they are almost confined at home. Infection has a very high fatality rate for them, and there is a very high chance that the treatment will leave some aftereffect. Overall older people will be difficult to live, and the threat to low-income groups such as the elderly living alone will be murderous.

 

   According to Google's futurist Ray Kurzweil, the technique of changing parts of the body to enjoy eternal life or longevity through genetic manipulation is likely to be available around 2045. Let's plan the future by calculating how old you will be then and how much money you will have in your hands.

 

   Steve Jobs left behind a word, "Death is the best invention life has ever made." I don't fully agree with that. However, I think a time when a death through comfortable body and mind would be one of the precious happy moments, may come.
